Cost of multiple repairs?
Cost of multiple repairs?
Wondering if I can get some help with pricing of some work I need done. I guess I kind of let things go because it seems that the catalytic converter clogged up and caused damage to the air intake duct. In addition the water pump went out and screwed up the opti. Just to add to the situation they said I needed a new starter. Are all of these things related? Is there one thing that caused the failure of the rest? Could the catalytic converter clogging have led to all of this or is it more likely the water pump was going bad before. Leading up to all of this the engine would always idle up and down and then feel like it was going to die but never would. That actually went on for at least year and I kept putting off doing something about it because the shop didn't seem to think it was that big a deal. How much would you say it should cost to get all of this done at a "fair" shop. I can't do any of the work myself for various reason one being no place to do it and another being I'd just screw it up worse than it is now if possible. The plugs and wires were changed about 20,000 miles ago and not much else had been changed in the 5 years I've owned it other than fluids.
