cost to get machine work for bigger valves?

cost to get machine work for bigger valves?

just wondering about how much a machine shop typically charges for cutting the heads for 2.02/1.60 valves..............

I believe it is around $200-$300 for the valve job to cut to make them fit. Depends on where you go and who does it.

Depends, there's quite a bit of stuff you can do for a VJ.

If you just want them machined like most places will do, figure $100ish. If you want a more performance oriented job, valves backcut, other seats, etc. then the price will probably be a lil higher.

Still would depend a bit on what exactly is done regarding the VJ.. but I'd say most will charge somewhere between $125-150 to do a 3-4angle job & grind whatever backcut.

Guess ill just call a few places around here to see for sure. thanks for the help guys. Hey skarodom, Ive heard you do some sweet port work on the lt1 heads, how much do you charge?

Some people like to think you can't run anything over 2.00" on a stock seat... but whaddever ; )
