Just wondering how much id be looking at to get a dyno tune if i already have a madz28 tune from ion installed.

Does the shop most likely have to retune the whole car, or just pick up from where ion tuned it?

I was asking this one place if i could just pay for 2 hours of tuning, but they said they wouldn't do it since they might have cables and other stuff hooked up and if they were to just stop in the middle of a tune it might detonate the car, etc.

So im just not looking to spend the 6-1000 that they say it might cost to dyno tune my car, but i wouldn't mind getting a dyno tune, just wondering if this sounds right or if i should look around for someone that might just be able to tweak ion's tune a little on the dyno rather than doing a whole new tune.

 

I doubt you'd get a price break... it still takes a lot of work to fine tune it and even having the base tune that you have is gonna need a lot of tweaking. Dont look for any breaks but ask and see what they tell you.
