Corvette LT 1 engine leaking

Hello!

A few years ago I installed a Corvette LT 1 engine in my 69'Camaro.

I think because of the narrow engine bay of the Corvette there's an adapter at the oil filter, which move the filter closer to the engine.

I want to have a look to this adapter and since then it's leaking. I tried several times to fix (new seals etc) but without any success. Especially at the bolts there are always oil drops.

Because at the Camaro there's enough space I want to eliminate this adapter. But sorry I don't know this detail from a "normal" small block=>

Is there a "normal" adapter from the block => oil filter or better a direct connection flange possibility to the hoses from my separate oil filter unit.

Thanks for help

Detailed pictures from a standard (LT1 F-body) small block are welcome!

Re: Corvette LT 1 engine leaking

You can get the fitting from almost any small block chevy. There are two bolts that hold the adapter. Remove the old one and intall the new one. I did this on mine when I took off the oil cooler. If you search posts for oil cooler removal you will most likely find pics.
