Question Corsa worth the price tag??

Is the corsa cat back exhaust for our cars worth the $660 price tag? They definately look nice and I heard a sound clip on their site but I don't know if thats an LS1, an LT1, or a stock or modified version of either one of those cars. Anyone have any sound clips of the corsa on a LT1 car with long tubes and no cats?? Please post if you do. Thanks

Myles

They do sound very nice...as do the GMMG. If you have the spare money just laying around with nowhere else to go...why not?

I couldn't justify buying a very pricey exhaust when I don't have everything else done to my car that I want but that's just me.

It's definitely worth the price tag to you if you really like the sound and looks of that exhaust. If you don't feel that way about it or other expensive systems($500+), go with something a lot cheaper. Since it's your money and car, its all in how you feel about it...

I myself went with the GMMG Chambered Exhaust(very expensive) for my LS1, but it was definitely worth it for that wonderful muscle car sound and unique look. My car also made good power with it on the dyno.

I had the B & B TriFlo and always got comments on how well it sounded and looked. The Corsa was on a friends Lt1 and they sound very similar.

It sounds nice, but personally I dont think thats its worth the price. I have a buddy that has it on an ls1, and in less than a year, he is on his third muffler. I guess the lifetime warrenty pays for soemthing.

I'm not a big fan of the Corsa sound, it was a little too high pitched for me. I've read about a lot of people having their mufflers replaced also, apparently the inside baffles aren't very durable. IMO it's not worth the $700.

I think that it does sound and look nice but I can't see paying that much for an exhaust that isn't going to really out perform flowmaster. You are paying for the stainless steel and not the extra performance in my opinion and although stainless steel looks nice and all it just cost way to much. But like the others said if you have the extra money go for it!

I haven't heard very many good reviews on Flowmaster--don't see how it would compare to Corsa.

I've got $60 in my exhaust (but no emmissions here). 40 series Flowmaster right off my Y-pipe; show me a better flowing exhaust set up. $700?! Ack...considering I've got $500+ in my car and I'm hittin' 13.0 and 12.9s...it'd better knock .5 off that for me.

But, if you got money (and I don't) and you like the sound, I hear it's a good system. I'm partial to the GMMG, but again...not enough gain for the price tag, IMO.

how outrageously loud is your exhaust with just a muffler on the y-pipe, and how does it sound? I was considering doing this a while ago, but everyone said it would be ridiculous loud...

I will tell you this...do NOT use a Flowmaster!! I'm about to convert to a Dynomax Ultra Flo 3"in/out center-in. My friend had this on his car is its fairly decent.

Mine is pretty loud. I get compliments on it...but it does rattle the dash or any loose objects in the car. But, it's not unbearable, IMO. I just think its a little OVER the line if that makes sense.

It flows like MAD though...so, if you can stand it a lil' louder, you'll have yourself a sweet little set up for near nothing!

Oh, and by the way...my friend's Dynomax set up like mine passed the Englishtown decibal requirement whereas a loudmouth car pegged he meter!!

So...it's not nearly as loud as a loudmouth, that's for sure!!

Exhaust: The performance gains are going to be similar with all of the exhaust systems. Best bet is to buy based on looks & sounds .

IMO, the Corsa/Borla/B&B/GMMG exhaust are overpriced. I would only buy one used if I wanted one. Keep in mind I'm a cheap jerk .

I'm with you on the cheap thing. If I'm forkin' over some real dough...it'd better be worth it!!

And...I HATE THE BORLA SOUND!!! I may be all alone on this...but I just can't stand it!!
