Angry Corsa catback rattling like crazy

Hello,

I have had my catback for about a year and a half now, and ever since I had it its rattled when I leave off the line in 1st gear. It does it at other random places as well, like when I hit a bump or go over a speed bump. I have taken a few pictures of the area I suspect so other people with this exhaust can compare to it to see if its supposed to be like that. So check out the pics please! Its really annoying, and now I can finally do something about it.

Any suggestions, or anything to stop this d@mn rattling is appreciated.

Thanks,

Daniel

Just try and jam something up in between there and see if that helps it. Just make sure whatever it is doesn't melt easily.

I was thinking some fiberglass, would that work? Are there any other sections of exhaust on f-bodies that are prone to clanking/rattling? Thanks for the quick reply.

Fiberglass would work great. Just pretty much anything you can get in there that won't melt or stink when hot. If you could remove that one bracket so that you could fit something in there that'd make it easy, but if you can't, just take a hammer and flat-head screwdriver and force something in there.

That looks like it's more than likely the culprit right there though. Although there's no gap right now, when you take off in first or hit a bump, there are all sorts of things that shift around that could cause it to rattle. You could always test it out by banging all around with a rubber mallet, and seeing exactly where it's coming from.

(P.S. I'm a firm believer of banging things with hammers to get them to work properly.)
