Copper gaskets don't line up with header ports, what do i do?

I have Jet Hot LTs that i am getting ready to install, and i ordered Mr Gasket Copper exhaust gaskets for a 1992-1996 LT1 engine. The number is 7154. I matched these up to my headers and they are blocking the ports. They line up with the bolts and the exhaust ports, but they are too small for the exhaust ports so they are blocking the way. What should i do? Will they form to the shape of the header or something when they are tightened down? Or are they just made to fit to the head port size? They are 1 3/4" primary headers. Does anyone know?

Ok the gaskets line up perfect from side to side of the ports, and the "D" lines up perfect with the top, but the bottom as flat on the gasket where as the header is shaped like the top. The header is oval port, not D port. Did i get the right gaskets? Also which way do i put the gaskets on? The ridge goes against the head right?

i put mine with the ridge to the header i don't know if that was right or not. I think you have the right gaskets. Most gaskets are D ports and all the headers i've seen are an oval port.

Oh ok. I was thinking the ridge went towards the head that way it would create a better flow into the header. The other side seemed like it would chop exhaust flow, but then again i havent held them up to the heads yet to see.
