Coolant rushing into "overflow" after car is turned off....
When I turn off the car once and a while I hear coolant rushing into the overfull thing... is this because the shop I just took it to overfilled the system??
If you're worried about it ... grab an Apex'i turbo timer... It also has A/F and Voltage gauges built-in... they're around eighty bucks...
Considering the fact that it serves the same functions as two gauges, AND gives your car a few minutes (you can set the time) to cool down, it's definitely worth the money...

Simple but it happened to me. Check to make sure the overflow tube and the tube from the TB aren't switched. they are similar in size and easy to mix up. I don't know why they would have removed them... But it can't hurt to check.
Only be worried if coolant is pouring out the overflow resovoir. Mine did that because of a leaking hose. Pressure in the system causes coolant to rush into the overflow resovoir. Just do the obvious checks. Like Shoebox said check the radiator cap and look for any kind of leaks in the hoses.
These LT1 cooling systems...

i'd put money on the radiator cap as well. SAME EXACT thing happened to me. the caps wear out, since the lt1 coolant system needs 18lbs of pressure.
a new cap is like $5
cured the problem immediatly.
