Sounds like the previous owner pulled one on you. That doesn't just happen overnight. Especially on the LT1. All that coolant has been cycling through your oil causing additional wear on any part that depends on that oil to keep it properly lubricated. Cam shaft bearings, crankshaft bearings, lifters, rockers, etc, etc. Depending on the miles on it who knows how bad it might really be or how long it has been going on.

odometer says 150,xxx carfax says theres a odometer discrepancy that was reported in 2011 last known mileage was 147,xxx from a dealer I think joe blow had two of these and mixed them up as far as mileage besides the engine problems the car is clean thanks for the help pulled the heads today waiting on new gaskets and head bolts

Glad to hear you tore it down so quickly. Why you're down that far you should try to pull the camshaft and check it for wear along with the bearings if you can. Also check those lifters to see if there are any chips or abrasions on the rollers.

Also, a lot of times with the LT1 leak half the gunk is trapped in the oil pan. When my head gasket popped I never knew. Couldn't even tell on oil changes till I dropped the pan and found the answer.

Good luck!
