coolant loss

I drive the car home three hours and the very next day the coolant light comes on. Shop flushed the coolant system, replaced the water pump (which he stated was the problem), thermostat, and radiator cap. Get it back and everything is great for about a day and then the coolant light comes back on . Fill it up bleed the system and everything is great for about another 30 miles and then bam, light goes back on. Only thing I can think of is banjo bolts, reservoir line/cracked reservoir container, or Head Gasket FML (F#%* My Life) Any tips?

Have the cooling system pressure tested to find out where it is leaking at.

When sensor's fail do they ever come on and off intermittently or are they permanently illuminated on the instrument cluster? Reason being is that I filled a little bit of the radiator up when the low coolant light came on and then bled the system yesterday. Coolant light was off this morning and then came back on during my ride home from work. Checked the radiator later on and it was full, along with the overflow. Temperature seems to be staying very low with the 160 t-stat installed.

The low coolant light on these cars is known to be problematic, most people simply unplug them so the light stays out. If your low on coolant the temperature gauge will tell you.

Exactly. Chances are it's just the low coolant sensor is bad. Just unplug it.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm going to pick up a sensor today and swap in the new one to see if it fixes my problem.

Well, I think the sensor is ruled out.

The grommet is part numbwe 10213669. The hose is part number 10158032.

I don't think they're the cause of your lost coolant...have the radiator cap checked and replace it if it isn't holding a solid 18psi.

I was wrong, it ended up being the sensor. Car has been running great!
