coolant line

Do you have to run the coolant line from the back of the heads, to the front.

Re: coolant line

The line that runs between the heads in back is a steam line. Due to the reverse cooling of the LT1 motors, airpockets and steam can build up in the cylinder heads and cause issues.

The lines between the heads and cooling system relieve these issues.

Search for steam tube or crossover pipe in this section for plenty more information.
