coolant light.. no coolant leak?
okay when i rebuilt car had a lot of issues with coolant lines and leaks.. finally got them all squared away...
however if im driving on highway for about 25 min or so my low coolant light will come on.. when i get wherever im going ill look under bay and cant find a coolant leak anywhere, and coolant levels arent low at all, and then when i start car up again light is off? sensor acting up? or could it be bad seal on radiator cap... or something else> |
Re: coolant light.. no coolant leak?
The sensor goes bad all the time, i've replaced mine a few times.
Sometimes it on, sometimes it turns off. I just ignore the damn thing. |

Re: coolant light.. no coolant leak?
just unplug it!! It is a little grey sensor that plugs in to the back of the radiator by the battery.

I unplugged mine but don't feel good about it. Need to replace it... the big WHAT IF, too scary.
