Hey guys just bought a 96 z28 and realized i have a small coolant leak. The check engine and low coolant light is on and dont go away no matter what i do. You can kind of smell the antifreeze burining....what could be leaking?

 

Are there any spots in the driveway or puddles underneath where you park? Is it wet on the floor on the passenger side floorboard?

 

ohh before i forget i have not noticed any lack of power and it idles just fine...also the coolant light came on first then about a little later the engine light came on...i really hope it isnt the head gaskets

 

i did have a few wetspots on my driveway on the passenger side

 

Freeze plugs maybe? does it only do it when you've run the car for a little bit or do you smell it all the time?

 

just about a few minutes in i can barely smell it
