Question Coolant fill procedure

I recently finished rebuilding my engine and I'm ready to fill the coolant but I was wondering if there was any special instructions as to how to fill a completely dry system. I want to avoid getting any air pockets...

I've always had good luck w/ adding the the radiator... Then once it stops letting you add any fluid, loosen the bleeder cap screws and that'll get rid of a lot of the air in the motor.... Then add more. Obviously make sure you don't leak too much water out of the bleeder cap though.

I agree with the above procedure but to add to it I always pour water in the top of the water pump before I install the thermostat and "gooseneck". Seems to get very air in the system that way and is easier to bleed.
