i returned home from a trip and the instrument cluster wouldnt light up when i turned my lights on. checked the fuses and they were fine. than i noticed the fans havent been kicking on either. are these two related? i checked the fuses for the fans too, and they were fine. any ideas?

You aren't giving much to go on about the fan situation. I can't see the dash lights and the fans having much to do with each other.

sorry, ive just seen the majority of my posts not get answered when they are off the first page.

what could cause the fans to not be turning on? or the instrument lights if its not the fuse. i cant really explain what happened because i have no idea. one minute everything was working fine. didnt drive the car for a week, than all this stuff happened.

 

Your dimmer switch may have gone bad.

You still provide no scenario or explantion about the fans. Give some details of the situation when you think they are not coming on, so someone can help you.

 

when i turn the dimmer switch all the way up, the rest of the interior lights come on. well the map lights. dont remember if there is another one.

i dont think the fans are coming on at all. when the car is just sitting there, itll get hotter and hotter. fans dont kick in. i cant really tell if they turn on when im driving, but the car stays around 170 deg at that time. not sure if the wind cools the car down, or if the fans kick on than.
