coolant bleeder pipe
coolant bleeder pipe
have a 94 z28 and i have sprung a leak on the rubber elbow that is attached with the big metal clamp to the metal bleeder pipe...anyone know what to ask for at the parts house or is this a dealer item...any help would be greatly appreciated...
Re: coolant bleeder pipe
thats a major hose to replace. I recommend getting the Goodyear Hi-Miler blue hose kit from summit. I think the part number is: GTR-5006
That one hose from the dealer is like $170, so I'd be cheaper to just buy all of the hoses. It sucks but the goodyear are suppose to be "10 times stronger than the stock hoses" and "lasts 5 to 10 times longer than regular hoses."

when I replaced all of my hoses, I just used regular generic heater hose tubing and cut the ends off the bleeder valve and reused it. cost me nearly nothing and works perfectly.
Re: coolant bleeder pipe
thanks for all the replies...that's what i did...used a dremel tool on the pressure clamp then got the elbow piece at the chevy place...had replaced all the hoses but that one...
