convertor question?

Smile convertor question?

HI ,if installing cc306 cam,106rr what stall convertor reqiured or is stock ok? Thanks For Your Time

A good all around stall is a 2800.

Even though you have an OBD1 car, I'd highly recommend a good 3500-3600 stall with that set-up (assuming you can have Ed Wright, PCMforless, or some other great tuner fix the 1-2 shift issue at the track that occurs with stalls over 3000 on these PCMs). Sure, you could easily get by with a 2800-3000, but I guarantee you you'll never see the full potential that high-revving cam has if you go with a stall below 3000. A stock converter with this cam would suck (the car would be a major dog down low, would take forever to get the car up into its powerband, and would have crappy drivability issues such as stalling/surging).

Just depends what your plans for this car are (street, strip, both)...
