Thumbs up Convertible leaks when raining SOLUTIONS?

My convertible leaks right at the top fo the glass on both wondows. It is like the seal isn't that tight anymore. I know my drivers door sags a tiny bit(don't know how to fix that) But it happens on both doors. Drips of water sneak through at the top of the window... Who knows how to make it stop?

I was thinking of popping off the rubber and putting a small piece of rubber underneath to make it stick out more but I don't know. it's just a thought*

what you can do is spray some silicone on the seals, that will soften it up a bit, i had some leaks sprayed them down real good and the leaks stopped

Just a thought, but you could try that spray ( may be called silicone spray) that you use on tents to keep them from leaking. Mine used to leak (tent) and i soaked it down and then it was waterproof...dont no if it works on cars, but it couldnt hurt

if you unlatch your top and put it down just a tad (so you can reach the latches the latch into the head pillar thing) on the actual hook things which look like claws you can unscrew a set screw with a small allen key, then adjust it a tad tighter and tighten the set screw, it will hold the roof tighter down, stopped my leak in my old z28.

I just might try clamping it tighter but I can't do too much more. It is allready tight when it clamps down. If it stops that darn leak I will jump for joy. If not the space couldn't be much more between the window and rubber molding so I could probably get somthing like a thin piece of rubber glued under the rubber molding and close that gap a little tighter. Any more comments?

My vert leaks as well right at the top of the glass. I tried adjusting the pressure the top latches with, it cut out some air noise, but didnt stop the leak. I eventually pulled the door panel apart and found a broken clip that holds the window in place. After I replaced that, the leak stopped on one side of the car. I still haven't figured out the other side, but will probably replace the window seals next month.

If your door sags, it is usually worn out hinges from lack of lube. Get new hinges and have the door re-set by a good body shop.

For those who what to buy new seals, get ready for a shock. The rear seals by the sail panels are 85$ a peice the top's are 90$ a piece and the A pillar seal, is one whole piece with the windshield (side to side). Can't remeber exactly, but it was over 300$. The only place the top guy or myself could find them, was the dealer. If anyone knows somewhere else, they can be found, please let me know.

HOLY CRAP!

Ok my little leak isn't worth that much. I am going to adjust my top a little tighter and work with the rubber. my leak is very small and only happens when the car is getting pelted with rain.
