ok, so i wanted to make sure i was checking the right wires for voltage and so i did a continuity check to find ground...
low and behold i have 3 wires that "beeped" when i did the test and two of the three wire have ~12 volts dc when i turn the key to run...
i have no ac voltage at the other wire when i try to start the car...

from what i have learned in high school something is wrong with this picture...

i am a tard so can someone tell me if this is bad and what might be the cause?
