Console Question

OK, so my console broke tonight. The latch on the upper console broke...my question is can I just replace the latch or do I need to replace the whole top part of the console??

Gm Part # 17997790...... This is the latch that comes out the end of the top console door(lid)

GM Part # 16754487 is the door and latch together...
