Ordering a part Online and I want to concurr this is the right p/n for a T56 to LT1 Bellhousing for a 95 Z28.

GM PART # 12523310


That's it. I'm positive more than a few of you guys got this part memorized. = )

Why don't you let us know if it is correct when you get it? The parts book lists no number for it and says you can only get one if you buy a whole transmission. I'm sure people would like to know if it can be gotten separately.

A quick Google search indicates that number may be a good one.

Thanks for the feedback, and effort you put in, in getting me an answer.

My Result:

Just got off the phone with GM and was told that was the correct p/n. Told me of course it is on special order and will take an extra 3-4 days to arrive. List Price jumped from $320.00 3 weeks ago to $360.38 as of today.

Southern California is the worst place to buy GM parts.

As I stated earlier, I'll be ordering this part online.... Their price for the same p/n is $180.19 = )

Hopefully this works out and isn't just too good to be true.
I'll be sure to update this post.

$183.79 and then they charge you $36.76 for shipping... which is outrageous. although, it still comes out cheaper than what you've listed here.

 

Was so excited on the deal that I forgot to post the update.

Breakdown:
SUB TOTAL: $180.19
SHIPPING: $36.04
TAX: $0.00
TOTAL WITH TAXES: $216.23

This is as of 1 month ago.

Price quoted on the phone 21st of July was just under $350.

$216.23 was the quote I received from gmpartsdirect.

Either quote was better than any Southern Californian GM Dealer Parts Shop list price.

Something had to be wrong with that conversation. $350 is more than list price for the thing. No way would Jason sell it for that. Did you actually talk to him? I am not disputing anyone's honesty, just saying that the quote is highly irregular and suspicious in nature.

Unfortunately as of 1 month ago list price for GM PART # 12523310 (Clutch Housing) was $360.38 in CA. That's a fact.

I then took you up on your handy resources you provided and I called Mr. Cromer's #, spoke to someone intermittently asking for Mr. Cromer and was put on hold, and then was referred to a 2nd person answering as Mr. Cromer from the Parts Dept. Ended up with a quote for the same item # of $347.74. I hope this nails it.

I'm sure Jason provides great deals but that was the quote I received, and I had the quote from gmpartsdirect on hand to compare.

One more thing. Item still had to be special ordered no matter what resource you took. Took an extra 10 days.

Boy is that bellhousing LIGHT as a feather. = )
