Hey sorry for posting a question for a v6 camaro here but I need to know a few things, and after having a post up in the v6 section I really didn't get many replys.

Well I had 2 alternators go up before figuring out it was the battery. Ever since then my car has been doing wierd things with how it mixes the fuel, lately it has gotten worse I got about 40 miles to a set of plugs, so its running really rich. I put in all new wires, plugs, and o2's.

So I am thinking there was a low voltage problem with the computer, since I had to drive it under battery power to get home one time over 50 miles at night, and yes incase u were wondering I didn't make it, fell about a mile short and then had to get a jump to even get the thing home with out any lights on; it was a blast.

I picked up a computer used out of a 95 3.4L auto for $35. I heard it would work with my 95 3.4L m5...I just had to change out a chip.

I was wondering how true this is? Where is the chip located?
