computer ground wire brunt.

When starting my car one day, i noticed a little smoke from under the hood. I quickly turned the car off. But no luck my ground wire was fried all the way up pretty good. It broke loose during the start. What i am wondering is if i need to go all the way back to where it looks good again and cut it and splice it back together. Or do i have bigger problems? Just wondering looking at maybe just going with a new harness, because it is fried all the way back to the T joint.

Thanks Charles

I'd probably want to replace the whole thing, but at least take it back to where there is no damage.
