A completely useless question
A completely useless question
I'm in the process of show polishing my intake, and since I've had a good long while to stare at this thing while I work on it a question came to mind: what was the purpose of having the two big holes that are on the front driver's side corner of the intake right next to where the throttle linkage hooks up? Also, what were the holes drilled in between each of the injector bosses for? I've seen pics of LT1's a thousand times yet I've NEVER seen any of them that had something bolted into any of those holes.
Anybody have any clue as to why GM put those holes there and what purpose they served?
(P.S.- If it weren't for the fact that I lie awake in bed at night wondering about the answers to stupid piddly questions like this, I wouldn't even bother asking.
)

Re: A completely useless question
The little holes in between the injectors i think are for fuel rail cover studs. Also the 2 front holes are there for your throttle cable cover to go into. The front holes might be threaded for another application like a vette or something.
