compatibility of CSR electricwaterpump & Becool radiator

the guy installing my becool says that the rad is 1" thicker than the stocker & he can't get the fan back on. i called jegs & they say that they should work 2gether. i also called becool & csr, but they must be closed. i'm getting the dimensions from jegs 2day & will get them from becool on monday. then i'll go to the install shop and see if i have the correct one. any thoughts or opions would be appreciated.

What problems did you have bro? I took mine out when I did the WP, but I always wondered what would happen if a guy left it in there, cause some do and CSI don't tell you not to.. Get the gears chewed up from rattling around from having a bearing on one side and just a seal on the other?

No I only have the CSI. I am still running the stock radiator which is working perfectly around 180-185 deg.

Ya will HAVE TO notch the fan shroud to get it to fit and modify the top plastic cover and bottom tray the radiator sits in. If ya don't the bottom tray will rub a hole in the tanks and the top cover will let the rad flop around.
It will fit,I got more rad and WP than you and mine fits. Had to MAKE it fit and you will have to do the same.

WTF is wrong with todays mechanics? If it don't unbolt and bolt back in then they are lost.
Recon the never heard of a little fab work or grind and fit.

IT's call "IN FIELD MACHINE SHOP INC.".

i beleive that its the wrong radiator. i won't know for sure until monday when he opens (he's closed on sat & sun). but he claims that there is not enuff room for the fan to even fit between the pump & rad.

I know ya got to trim some of the plastic shroud to get it to fit.

Re: compatibility of CSR electricwaterpump & Becool radiator

I found out today from becool that their radiator IS NOT compatible with an EWP. i decided to keep my EWP & go with a new stock radiator. i hope that this saves someone some trouble.

OK, I give.
Why is it not computable with an EWP?

thats exactly what happend, I got on it a little bit maybe 60-70% throttle and the tires spun...made the engine bog down and backfire pretty bad since it went way lean and it must have jossled the WP, and the impeller came completely off and the gear chewed off a bunch of metal and teeth and went into my lifter valley. Was not a fun day lol.

Re: compatibility of CSR electricwaterpump & Becool radiator

the becool radiator is about an 1 1/2" thicker than the stock radiator. and since the CSI extends further than the stock water pump, it didn't leave enough room for the fan to fit between the two.

My Meiziere HD which is 1" longer than your pump and a 3-1/2" griffin rad fit in this '94.
It wasn't a bolt in but it fit and is in there and looks neat too even modded the top plastic cover and used it.
