comp valve spring lock too small-wtf

Well I'm doing my cam swap now and one of the locks is like half the size of the others. Just one. I put it on and it looked like it wouldn't hold the spring because it wasn't pushed up flush with the other lock. Any one else have a problem like this??? I don't want to reuse the stock ones because they are about half the thickness and seem like they would break. What should I do???

How much smaller are we talking here? Can you take a pic of the smaller one beside a normal size one?

Thomas.

Looks like they put a 7* lock in the 10*lock box. Call comp and tell them about it.

Call some local machine shops and see if they have a box with extra keepers in it. We do, and it's pretty usefull. Bring in the correct one and match it up.

I had the same issue, and have heard of it before. Just call Comp, they will send you a new pair.
