Mine are stitting peacfully in the lifter bores of my stock block awaiting to be used again. I ordered the special "unjunk" ones. Too bad you all missed out.

Mine are sitting in the garage in perfect shape. They lived through not being adjusted right for 50-60 miles and then worked great for a thousand miles, after thet were set correctly. They would still be in if the intake didn't need to come off a few years ago and I wasn't worried about all the bad publicity they were getting.

Well, if a guy is so inclined, they can send those junkers to me. I'll be more than happy to pay shipping and a "small" fee for the trouble.

I have some of the original ones I used for a couple thousand miles. I put them in a box and just looked at them as they have been sitting for a couple years. Look good. But I am curious as to why you want the "junker" hard to adjust ones that have bad publicity?
Can you fix the newer versions. I would think a simple wire retainer would suffice, instead of the cups that break.

I have 12 good ones and 4 bad ones I would gladly send you if you just cover the cost of shipping.

The ones in question have cups and the good ones have wire retainers? I'm confused now as usual. Anyone have a pic of either? Or are there pics in the sticky? Thanks

There are pics in the sticky.
Good ones are wire retainers, at least there was never bad press with them 'The ones with Cups in them are what the bad reviews are about.

Well I just checked them, and there the old design, (good ones). I bought them right when the newer style came out. Must of lucked out and the supplier still had some old stock on the shelf. Good to know if I try selling them, someone will at least be getting a decent product.

According to many high end tuners/etc they stated stock GM roller lifters are just fine for 99% of the people up to 6500rpm. LPE/MTI/DRM/Livernois for example responded to me when I asked about lifters. Mine cam isnt large, yet it isnt small either. So, GM lifters for me. I may sell my old comp cams R's if someone is in dire need of them.

I wound up going with the regular Comp replacements and the 918 springs. Working just fine too.
