Comp magnum 1.6 roller tip rockers?

Are these a good setup? Thier not true rollers just roller tips. Anyone else running these? I did a search and everyone is running the pro magnums. Any reason not to get the regular magnums?

The full roller fulcrum rocker cuts down on friction especially at the higher rpms which can be worth some hp. I'm always up for saving money and there is nothing wrong with the roller tipped rockers, but to me it's worth the extra investment to get the full rollers. My personal choice is the Comp Pro-Magnums. For stock cylinder heads you will need the self-aligning.

No particular reason really. The roller tips are just fine. The full rollers free up a little more power (theoretically). I looked at the price of both, and for a little more than the roller tips you can buy the full rollers, that's really the only reason I bought the Pro Mag's.

Ok cool, im not really looking to squeeze every horse out of this, I figure maybe at the most I lose 4hp at the fly compared to a 1.6 full roller? Thats no big deal to me. Just wondering why people didn't go with them.

Slotted ball and seat rockers are not a true 1.5 or 1.6 ratio all the way through their travel, that is another advantage roller fulcrum has it is always that ratio I think this is an often forgotten part of why roller rockers help make more power. If cost is a concern I am having very good results with ProForm 1.5 roller rockers 42K sofar with 28K of that with a bigger cam and appropriate spring and they are still quiet, think they were $170.

Problem is I just chewed through 1.6 pro forms =/. Which is why im going chrome moly. If its just a few ponies im not gonna sweat it. Was more concerned on breakage and durability.

If you chewed through rockers, you have a PROBLEM and need to fix it.

For budget rockers, I'd recommend crane's blue racer line over the regular magnums. Similar pricing, but the blue racers are full rollers.
