Question Comp Cam XE 230/236 people... questions...

What kind of times or Dyno #s are you getting with the XE 230/236? Also what is the rest of your combo?
I'm trying to decide on a cam since I'm doing some head work on my TA. So far the specs on this cam fall into the lift range for the flow #'s I'm expecting on the heads when done. I'm pretty sure heads and cam will wake my TA up a bit.
I ran a search, but din't find any 1/4 times listed.
Thanks for any info.

Thumbs up

Thanks Ken, I didn't realise you were running this cam. What rockers are you using? (nevermind I found them on your site, GREAT pics) Wow you and I should be a good race at the next Southern Shootout!!!
Yep Russ, I've accomplished what I wanted to do with Bolt-Ons, now it's time to go fast.

Dyno and crappy track times in sig. Tomorrow if it's nice I'm hitting the track with the stall, new tranny, and dr's so I should be good for 11.8's or so. Once I get the skinnies/slicks setup I'm hoping to run similar to ken's times (I have the advantage at running at sea level so it should be possible).

The standard conversion for mustang to dynojet is like +10-12% so I'd say i'm in the 380-390 range on a dynojet through an auto (had stock stall at the time but converters are lockups so it shouldn't make a difference). I'm using comp pro mag 1.6's in case you wanted to know.

Looking forward to it, jeesh I hate this weather out here. Last night went to the track. DA was 3200ft Humidty 75% and on a warm motor no cool downs the car ran a 11.91@112.50, already looking forward to November.

I should know soon. I am digging into the motor this weekend hopefully. I have heard great things about the cam.

I have the Xe230/236 and I like it.

I haven't ran it at the drag strip or dyno'ed it yet, but I have ran it at the road courses a couple of times and there is definitely a big change.

The LS1 cars used to pull me bad on the long straights and now they only pull me on the really long straights and that is mostly the Z06 or 425+hp LS1 F-bodies I run with.

I didn't notice much gain down low, but from 3-6k rpms it pulls harder.
