Comp Cam 07-502-8 ?? Good For.....

HEY EVERYONE WAS WONDERING ON YOUR ENGINE TECHS I BOUGHT A CAM FOR MY CAR AWHILE BACK Specs are 218 224 duration at .050" and .495 .503 lift. IM PLANNING ON GETTING MY 94 STOCK LT1 MOTOR REBUILT.... I CAME ACROSS A GOOD DEAL ON A VORTECH SUPERCHARGER AND GOT IT BASICALLY ITS THE STANDARD SETUP FOR A LT1 MOTOR CAR ALSO HAVE A SPARE SET OF STOCK LT1 HEADS ( WAS PLANNING ON PORT AND POLISHING ) ANYHOW WAS WONDERING HOW FAR CAN I GO WITH THIS ENGINE BUILDING IT I MEAN? I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP THIS CAR A DAILY DRIVER IT IS A A4 CAR. ITS GOT AROUND 170,000 MILES ON IT NOW AND IM JUST WANTING TO GET UP AS MUCH AS I CAN BEFORE SHE'S PUT DOWN FOR A REBUILD. I WOULD LIKE TO GET AS MUCH HP OUT OF IT AS I CAN AND STILL BE ABLE TO DRIVE IT EVERYDAY. ALSO MY WALLET AINT UNLIMITED SO TAKE IT EASY ON THE MONEY WISE SIDE I DONT WANNA GO OVERBOARD Y'KNOW. ANYHOW EVERYONE FEEL FREE TO CHIME IN AND GIVE ME IDEAS ON A SETUP FOR MY CAR WITH THE CHARGER....IM OPEN FOR IDEAS......THANKS P.S. Hey everyone was wondering on your engine techs i bought a cam for my car awhile back specs ARE 218 224 DURATION AT .050" AND .495 .503 LIFT. Im planning on getting my 94 stock lt1 motor rebuilt.... I came across a good deal on a vortech supercharger and got it basically its the standard setup for a lt1 motor car also have a spare set of stock lt1 heads ( was planning on port and polishing ) anyhow was wondering how far can i go with this engine building it i mean? I would like to keep this car a daily driver it is a a4 car. Its got around 170,000 miles on it now and im just wanting to get up as much as i can before she's put down for a rebuild. I would like to get as much hp out of it as i can and still be able to drive it everyday. Also my wallet aint unlimited so take it easy on the money wise side i dont wanna go overboard y'know. Anyhow everyone feel free to chime in and give me ideas on a setup for my car with the charger....im open for ideas......thanks p.s. Didnt realize the caps lock was on sorry people, im going to pull that button off my freakin keyboard

What are your goals? Emmisions? Streetability concerns?
Without more knowledge I say afr raised runners, BIGGER blower specific cam, 25 psi, fuel and bottom end to support it. Thats what I would like.

Is that lift with 1.5s rockers? I believe you would probably want around 550 lift and good separation on the duration along with reduction in compression. Are you going to have an intercooler?

There. I've exhausted my wee knowledge and turn it over to the pros...this should, however be in the juice/boost section. JMHO

Hey, thansk for the info. the charger is a v1 s trim vortech. as for the psi i really aint sure on what i would like to get it to meaning whats a good range for a everyday driving car. on the rockers the specs i believe where for 1.5's but i would like ot use 1.6 rockers, on the cam whats the verdic keep or sell and buy a new one? i would like ot keep the car in emissions state....i would like to get some lt headers emission style though..... i would like a goal of 400 maybe alittle over 500 possibly but what cam would you run?????... its a a4 like i was saying ( so i know i probably need to get a stall and a rebuild for the tranny soon after its built & would like to keep it streetable as possible y'know. i seen you said something about the bottom end, dont really have a idea on that yet what do ya'll think give me some ideas...im just fishing for help from fellow members on here hey i need all the knowledge i can get at this point thanks.........:-)
