comp 987's?

im starting to buy up everything i need for my cam install. right now i have a gm847 cam and comp 1.6 roller rockers, are the comp 987's a good spring to run with this set up?

What is the lift with that cam? The 987s coil bind at .600" lift so they are good to say .585" lift or so IMO.

after more searching i found that some people run the K-motion k-800's. they seem to be a nice set at about only $90 but will the heads need to be machined to make them fit?
