I have a set of Comp 987 springs and retainers on a some heads that I bought and I also have 1.6 GMPP self aligning rr that I am using. After I put the heads and rockers on, there was tapping that got louder as the RPM's increased. After taking the valve covers off to re-adjust the valves, I noticed that the body of the rockers were riding on the retainers. The problem seems to be with the way the retainers are constructed. Is there another retainer that can be used or should I get NSA rr and guide plates $$$?
