I'm doing a 700R4 swap so I'm hooking a detent cable up. I noticed that where the linkage hooks up on my 95 throttlebody is different than on a 93 TBl. So my question is will my throttlebody work? I've been told it would and that all I need is the throttle bracket from a 93 F-body.

 

Yes you will need a 93 Throttle body I dont think you can just get the bracket. I know you need the TB for sure but I am not positive you can just get the bracket. This is because the 93 Z28 was the only 4th gen year to use the 4L60 or non electronic 700-R4.

 

There is a bracket to hold the cable but the shaft on the 93 throttlebodies is also different. It has a button for the shift cable to attach to.

I bought a 52mm TB and was sent a 95 instead of a 93.

I took apart the 95 52mm TB and inserted my 93 shaft into it.

Works fine.

Thats what you would have to do.

Find a 93 shaft.
