Basically I would like to know if this combo is worthy of knocking into the 12's on everyday radial tires? I know all of you guys get this alot but plz post some replys. its a 94 z28 t-tops, A4 with stock torque convertor. I have Moroso cai, 3.42 gears,flowmaster 80 series muffler with gutted cat(no emissions where i live), slp airfoil, descreened maf, and pacesetter Lt's. Going to be dropping the lt4 hot cam kit or comp cams xe 218/224,and while doing that were going to port the heads ourselves with a porting tool for 90 $$$. Also take into consideration where i live(pheonix AZ) runnning at the track in the summer is going to make the car run 2-4 tenths slower. Im just looking for some replies thanks for the help

 

I think youll be low 13's without the CAM and after the CAM you should be down into the mid 12's. Just my guess though A new Converter and maybe gears would be a huge improvment if you get aroudn to doing those...

 

I dont think youll be in the 12's on street tires unless the head port job you do is super awesome... I dont think the cam or entire car will be up to near its potential without the gears and a stall.

 

i have the 3.42 gears which are great im just getting ready to do the cam install and head job and while were doing that were going to do the lt's. i have gears but no stall yet. without stall could i hit the 12's?
