Collant blowing out resivour (hell I aint french) cap.
Took the car for a qucik ride after tune up... after some fun driving I notived the coolant needle was way up above where it should be... heading towards the red zone... I smelled coolant...and slowed the car down.. got it in my driveway and popped the hood. Low and behold I could hear the boiling coolant... and see where the coolant was violently shooting out of the cap.
Does this sound like a bad thermo? My low coolant light has been on for a while.

Could be. Take it out and put in a pot of boiling water on the stove. If it opens before the water boils it's probably OK.
Hope ya didn't hurt anything by running it hot fpr a while.Could be a MAJOR issue, let's hope not.
