I have been thinking about selling it lately though. The chrome just doesn't really go with the look I am after. The twin filters look nifty too. If you decide to go with the SLP, you will not be disapointed except for the empty space in the wallet.
If you are thinking about selling it let me know. Do you have pics of the chrome you can put up here on the board so I can show my brother?

ive had one. but i bought it when it was cheaper. i like it the fit was snug i like it because i never had a filter pop off or anything unlike my KN on on my camaro. but i wouldnt pay $280 i would look for a used one they can be had for liek $120.

How much HP difference is there between the SLP CAI kit and the SLP standard SS intake? Is it worth the change?

this is an old argument. some say no difference but how could you tell the point of ram air is to make more power when you have the forced air from outside going into the intake. you cant simulate this on a dyno

The one on my car is a TrickFlow. I had a Vortech but I needed an elbow without the divider in the middle of it, so I picked up this one.

Mine has he divider in the middle so I guess it's a Vortech. Was there any difference in your performance losing the divided elbow??

The only reason I went with the Trickflow elbow was because I had to drill and tap it for my nitrous nozzle. I did not want the divider to disrupt the spray pattern.

I have the SLP and no complaints. Looks pretty nice, and was an easy install, I had to do a little bending to get it to clear the brake line for traction control, but if you don't have traction control (ASR) you won't have that problem. I didn't pay 280 for it though, I got it from a local speed shop for like 200, which was a little more than other options, but I liked the fact that it is metal and not plastic. Of course some people think the plastic is better since it wont pick up engine bay heat, but I'm not sure that is a big deal.

Shop the supporting vendor links, and call or PM them for a price quote, they may be able to beat their posted price. A quick check here and here found it for $252.

LPE hands down for best bang for the buck. I've had mine for over 8 years now and it has kept its shape very well even though it's been through several seasons of rush hour traffic in the Texas summer heat.
