Coil or what?

For the second day in a row i took my car out and as soon as i got to the stop sign at the end of my road. It dies and wont start again. We already replaced teh opti park. and after it broke down yesterday we replaced the coil and it started up and we took off drove about 50 yeards to te end of my road and it died.
Any ideas?

The only thought I have is the fuel pump. Hook you up a fuel pressure guage and make sure you are getting pressure and see what it looks like. I believe the Lt1's are supposed to be around 40-45 lbs. of pressure. Good Luck

As you're finding out, it's very expensive to try to repair your car with the shot gun method of just replacing parts. Here's a link to Shoebox's site, he's got some great procedures to narrow down your failures prior to buying parts.

My car had a dying problem, it was the ignition control module. Here in Texas O'Reilly's auto parts will check them for free, the Auto Zones here dont have the equipment to check them. The dying problem tested my abilities, I can push a 3600 pound car by myself on a level surface.... isnt it great when you are stranded on a very busy 6 lane road pushing your car when everyone just drives by and just looks at you and wont help.
