I fought this same problem for over a year and finally traced it down to a single missing platinum puck on a _new_ #6 plug. Put the old plug back in and the problem vanished.

Checked the exhaust and I have some white smoke, but I don't smell antifreeze. I do here a puh, puh, puh, puh sound from the exhaust.(hope that makes sense) I also noticed some condensation inside the exhaust tips. It's around 50 degrees here and the car is at operating temp.

Uh oh. I checked the oil cap and I have what appears to be dried chocolate milk in the cap. I also saw yellow looking foam in the oil fill neck. Could this be antifreeze eventhough dexcool is orange? Could the gasket be bad near that cylinder causing my problem?

The chocolate milk in the valve covers is normal for aluminum heads. As long as the oil is oily, you should be ok.

Have you checked the water pump to see if it's weeping onto the opti? You mentioned losing coolant every few days.

I've never seen anything but oil in my valve covers, what does the head material have to do with it?

In cool weather, aluminum tends to cause more condensation. If you run the motor to operating temperature it will evaporate in a few minutes.

The old water pump was weeping onto the opti, that's why I had to replace it.What's the foam in my oil filler neck? I can't seem to find any leaks.

Well, the first thing to do is find that coolant leak. I would hook up a tester to pressurize the cooling system and look for the obvious. I'm not sure what the yellow foam would be. Can you post a pic of it?

I'll try to get you one. I have tried to find a pressure tester, but nobody around here has one right now. Autozone has a rental, but it's out.
