Driving today and see that my SES is on. Take a look at the scanmaster and it was flashing 36, 41, and 42. All ignition related i think. But the weird thing is the car felt fine. I pulled into sonic, turned it off and then back on. And everything was fine. Did a search and people said this was a fore warning to the ignition module going out. The one located underneath the coil i think. Is there any truth to this? thanks for your help.

36 is an opti code. If anything it is probably warning you about that. The 41 and 42 sometime seem to accompany that.

 

But the opti is only like 6 or 7 months old, the coil is also new. I just had to replace my ignition switch and think maybe now the ignition module is going to crap out on me now. Do you think this is a possibility? I installed the opti myself and know it is done correctly because i have had no problems what so ever with it up until this point. It's always something with these damn lt1's i tell ya.
