Code help please my car runs scary bad
Code 42 help please
So I got a cable and hooked my car up and without driving it with it just sitting the first time I pulled the codes I got. 13, 48, 41, 42, 77 so I was like
. But now the only one it will pull after resetting them was 42.
Just tryiing to figure out what it means. By the way my car runs gret under normal driving conditions. Under WOT it pops and spits goes to redline at will scary stuff

13- Bank 1 (left) Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Circuit (open circuit)
48- Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor circuit
41- Ignition Control (IC) circuit (open circuit)
42- Ignition Control (IC) circuit (shorted or grounded circuit)
28- Transmission Range (TR) pressure switch assembly fault
77- Cooling fan relay control circuit
28 could also have something to do with a fan relay or ac relay. Being that they went away and all you get now is the 42 I would not pay alot of attention to them and just concentrate on the 42. which being that the Ignition controller is grounded or shorted would probably be what is causeing your scaryness with the messed up firing.

not exactly sure where that is myself on an LT1. perhaps part of the Opti unit? I know on a standard distributor is is a part that is pluged into the distributor it's self inside the housing.. Might be something to ask in another post perhaps so people look at it.
ignition control module. isn't that mounted with the coil on the driver side head.
but that code deals with either shorted or grounded, so i would assume its gonna be a wire issue, look at the wires coming off the icm and trace them out looking for a bare spot touching metal.

being that that the ICM is a circuit board it is possible for it to ground or short internally. Best thing to do is to take it to a parts store that can test them for you. I know that most of them should be able to test and ICM. But it is possible for it its self to go bad as they have a tendancy to do after a while.
