Cool CMOTORSPORTS 409ci Crate Engine??

The CMOTORSPORTS company offer a 409ci crate engine. Does anybody know how much HP this engine should offer? Also, compared to the 383 and the 396, what is the best offer?

Thanks

Call them up and ask. They should know better than anyone and they're cool people over there so they shouldnt mind talking to you.

A 409? Mighty fine.

Chuck Riddeck has a 409 he uses for "development", use to be in his car from what I understand. Made 600 some odd ponies with stock LT1 heads (heavily ported and tricked out of course). When I asked about stroking the motor to 400+ with a 4" crank he told me to make a pass on that idea and stick to the 3.875/3.75 strokers and turn a few more revs.

How much power are you looking for? What kinda driving are you going to be doing.... weekend, everyday??
Easy enough to make 400-450 rwhp with a 3.48 stroke motor.... even easier and more streetable with a stroker.

Cool

Thanks for your replies. I just got home to see them. I have been having some problems with my lt1 and it sounds like it is internal. So, I am considering a few options. Thanks for the answers.
