Hey guys i am about to take a look at a 93 TA lt1, M6

the guy says that if you take off in first gear, the clutch seems to vibrate???

and apparently a mechanic told him that it was a shield.. but in other gears does not do the vibration.

Need to know quick...

Probably not the clutch if it does it only in first,more likely the tranny.

 

yeah that is what i was about to assume that it would be the tranny...

they said that it only happened when really taking off hard in 1st gear

 

It could also be the motor mounts. it's really hard to say without driving it.

If ya drive it and ya don't like the vibes(feels serious)see if he will come way down on the price to help cover the repair,ya never know. May wind up to be a "u" joint.

 

what is a U joint? i will definatly lower the price for it... i dont know what exactly it is, i am still sitting here waiting to hear from him and see if he is going to come down and let me drive it...

Universal joint in the drive shaft about $10.00.
