Clutch is talking

when i floor it i hear the clutch "chattering" as the rpm's climb, not much but its still there. it only has like 5k on it. would this have something to do with my pedal feeling like it has NO hydraulic pressure?

Chattering...what's it saying?

Have you checked your throw-out bearing?

if your clutch is chattering at that rpm. that means your clutch is slipping, unless your riding the clutch at that rpm. your clutch should be fully engauged if your foot is completly off the clutch pedal. is it a after market clutch or factory. most factory clutches dont chatter its the after market ones that have a tendency to chatter.

give us a little more info on the car and the clutch. like is it new, did you put it in, is it factory, whats the pedal feel like. this will help us narrow it down.

help us help you

Its an aftermarket clutch. Centerforce Dual Friction. Like i said it only has like 5k on it. Im pretty sure the clutch is not slipping. that happened to my old clutch and i could definately tell it was slipping. Good chance it might be the TO bearing. now on to the pedal...it is really soft. my clutch seems to have no pressure holding it up except for the actual clutch. if i let the pedal rest i can actually pull it up like 3 inches with no trouble at all with my bare hands. It has been like this since i used that "club" thingy that goes on the pedal, i think i overtightened it and then it popped and ever since the pedal cant hold itself up. so technically i think the pedal is just resting on the clutch so i guess i am always riding the clutch somewhat.

Shouldnt be chattering like that when its fully engaged. Like said above, unless you ride the clutch a lot, it shouldnt be doing that. Does this noise you speak of arise at a certain rpm and stay pretty much constant in intensity to another rpm level? If so it is most likely the throwout bearing that is making noise, some people go through 5 or more before they get a nice quiet one.
