Clutch disk options with stock Flywheel and PP

Hi guys,

a friend of mine has a slipping clutch but is on a tight budget for now. We would like to try resurfacing the flywheel (possibly replacing the throwout and pilot bearings) and replacing the disk.

What are our options as far as replacement clutch disks go? Do McLeod, Spec, or Centerforce disks work with a stock flywheel and pressure plate?

He will be going with a Street Twin eventually but for now we just need to get the car back on the road.

Thanks guys

I had this setup in my car:

Stock flywheel, mcleod disk, LT4 pressure plate, and a new throwout bearing. Lasted 2 1/2 years and about 300+ track passes. I know a guy that was running this same setup on slicks with 5000 clutch dumps. It's pretty stout, and cost me less than $500 bucks.

Well that gives me some hope. Its seems that single disc set ups are hit and miss. I cant seem to sell this this set up so the car will be torn apart this weekend and the single disc will be going in!!

The McLeod disc is a nice step up from the the oem disc and much stronger than the SLP disc than I had for two years.
