clutch is acting up after car sat for 3 months (street twin)
After the car had been sitting for 3 months (she was missing parts) i fired it up and was gonna take it for a spin .. when i realized i cant go into any gear .. the clutch pedal feels just like it did before, but the car wont go into any gear ... if i try to shove it into 1st the car will start to roll fwd .. same with reverse... but the pedal does NOT disengage the clutch
i have the street twin with the rebuilt slave (i did it myself) and for the couple of weeks after i installed it the clutch worked just fine .. then the car went to sleep .. and now it doesnt work
i was told it could be air that has gotten into the system ... any other ideas ?

For me, nothing unusual... It fires up great!
Sometimes when the car won't go in gear, I actually shut it off and then put it in gear, and then start it up... All is well then!
I also have NO issues once the car is moving... All gears are easy to engage...

Either your disc has frozen itself to the pressure plate or flywheel, or your hydraulics are just not working.
As I was reading down, I was hoping you would not try to start it in gear in a garage!

how do i fix that ?
I have seen frozen discs freed up by rocking the car in gear with the engine off and the clutch pedal pushed in. I really doubt that is your problem, though. Mostly old cars and trucks is where I have seen this happen.
I just threw the idea out there.I'll be honest, it's hard for me to give good advice on the 4th gen M6, since I have an A4.
I don't have first hand experience with it's particular clutch stuff. I just know what I have read and gathered from other people's experiences. I am quite familiar with older GM standard trans cars, though.
I had the same problem yesturday.(Spec stage 3 ceramic)I went out to start my 95 and let it run a while It really does not move much in the winter.Started in nutral then after about 5 minetes I went to put it in gear.It would not engage.I shut it of put it in gear ,Started it drove it around the block. Now it is fine.I assume the disk was froze To the p. plate or flywheel.

So whats the reason for the disk to stick to the p. plate/flywheel? And how do we stop it from happened? Does the clutch need a stronger hydrolics system to pull them apart or something?
I have this problem all too often and really looking forward to fixing it!!
Its quite frustrating...
Thx guys!
