Cloyes timing chail

just want to make sure iam right on this. i have a 95 with an ew iam running the gm847 cam if i get a 89+ Cloyes double roller chain it will work but might requier some grinding on the cover or a spacer? i heard someone talking about someone makes a bigger timing chain cover gasket that will help the clearence issues out?

I'm running a double roller on my 95 Vette with no clearance issues.

The Cloyes 9-3145 is strong and inexpensive. Not everyone seems to have the same clearance issues. Just mock it up and find out what needs to be taken off the inside of the cover. Most people say it is not much.

It isn't much, mostly around the top. Put some grease on the chain and then rotate the motor over and clearance where it rubs on the cover.
