Cleaning Valves

I pulled out my valves out of the spare heads I bought. They have the normal carbon buildup on them. What should I use to clean them off with? Any good liquids out there that will help loosen it up?

Thanks,
Mike

On my old heads I used a dremel with the wire wheel for the thick stuff then the brush.....on the lowest speed. real lightly.

Ive always used a wire wheel also, Never heard of someone using a liquid, May give the good ol' carb cleaner a try, its pretty potent and wont damage anything!

I soaked my valves and pistons in Berryman B-12 Chemtool overnight and it got EVERYTHING to the point where it just wiped off with my finger.

Yeah, I was amazed at it. I didn't think it'd work but some guy told me to try it and it did a great job getting everything off.

I am having thoughts of me dumping some of that stuff in the vacum tube.... as I did with SeaFoam

Hey does seafoam removes carbon too?? someone has to give it a try.
