Question Cleaning MAF

I am planning on cleaning my MAF sensor. I see that there are silver horizontal bars in there with tiny wires that connect the bars. I read about using electronic cleaning spray or something like gummout, and a q-tip. Also, which parts inside do I gently rub with the q-tip?

I have also read that you need to remove some kind of screen. I do not have a screen in mine. Is this part missing and should i be concerned?

It should have a screen, so it sounds like the previous owner removed it. Dont be concerned. I cleaned mine with an electrical cleaner and a q-tip. I just swabbed everything, but be VERY gentle.

You can clean the vertical bars with electrical cleaner and q-tips. Do not touch the wires with q-tips cause they break off pretty easy. I don't see the need for it unless they are caked up though.

I had to clean the sensors(between the vertical bars) with the Q-tip. I was VERY gentle though. It doesn't take much to remove the deposits.

Car ran super smooth after the cleaning.
