Cleaning injectors

I want to pull the rail and clean my injectors this weekend. Is there any special way to do this or should I just pull them and spray them out with b-12 then soak em in injector cleaner? I know they're clogged now but getting better with the injector cleaner in the tank. Any help would be great. Thanks

Re: Cleaning injectors

BP premium gas has twice the amount of cleaner in it that other fuels do, at least that's what they say. Just a suggestion.....

Re: Cleaning injectors

Well, we just had a class at work demoing a new fuel system cleaning machine that we bought. The tech was telling us that over the course of time the screen on the fuel injectors clogs up. He said it was caused by tiny metal shavings from the fuel pump. He also said it's on average about 3 microns in size so the fuel filter won't filter it. Our machine is suppose remove these metal shavings from the injector screen. Now I'm not quite sure how you'd do it on the bench, but you could try to do something like that.

Re: Cleaning injectors

I pulled the fuel rail and tested the injectors by jumping the leads one at a time. They all fire great so I'm looking elsewhere for a problem
