I was just about to buy a solar trickle charger off ebay...and I stopped because it plugs into the cigarette lighter. Obviously the cigarette lighter needs to be powered with the ignition off for this to work - anybody know if this is the case with 1996 Z28? I can check it myself tonight, but I figured if somebody knows off hand I can buy it now. Thanks.

 

The lighter works when the ignition is off on both my 93 and my 95. I know because the radar detecter drained the battery several times on the 95.
